Government aid from other Canadian provinces
The Canadian government collaborates with most provinces and territories to provide financial aid programs to students.
If you are arriving to Québec from another province or territory, you must send an application for financial aid to the student financial aid office for your province or territory.
Visit the CanLearn website for complete details on financial aid offered by the Canadian government.
Note: Université Laval’s educational institution code for all student financial aid programs is FUAU.
Receiving your financial aid
Once you’ve submitted your application, the student financial aid office for your province or territory will contact us directly. We will supply all the necessary information so that they can provide you with financial aid.
If you aren’t sure how to seek financial aid in your province or territory, contact us and we will provide all the information you need.
Repayment exemptions
If you have received financial aid in the past and are still a student (and enroled in the minimum number of courses required by your province or territory), you may qualify for an exemption on the interest or repayment of your student loan.
Since rules may vary from one province or territory to another, we recommend that you check with your provincial or territorial student financial aid office to find out if you are eligible.
If you are, contact us. We’ll send them confirmation of your enrolment.
