The Doctoral Admission Scholarship Program has officially come to an end at the end of the 2022 winter semester. Since the 2022 summer semester, the funds are used to increase the Academic Excellence Scholarship Program.
Until the end of the 2022 winter semester, Université Laval used to provide a $2,000 admission scholarship to all students who register for the first time in a full-time doctoral program.
- To be admitted into your first PhD program at Université Laval for the 2022 winter at the latest*.
- To be registered as a full-time student** at Université Laval in an admissible program.
The candidates who have submitted a complete admission request to a doctoral program at Université Laval before March 1st, 2022 (including the payment of the admission fees), and who are registered full-time, for the first time, in either the 2022 summer or fall semesters in that same program, are eligible to apply for this bursary.
**If you are considered as a parent student according to the terms and conditions of the Politique relative aux étudiantes et aux étudiants parents de l’Université Laval, you could be eligible for this contest. To do so, it is your responsibility to submit the following document: l’attestation délivrée par le Bureau du registraire (Attestation delivered by the Registrar Office) by emailing it to: firstname.lastname@example.org and to mention which specific program it is for. Please note that a seven (7) business day period is needed to process the document.
Terms and conditions
You have no administrative form to complete to receive your scholarship. The Office of the Registrar provides a list of students eligible for the doctoral admission scholarships to Bureau des bourses et de l’aide financière (BBAF), which manages funding for the scholarship programs. All eligible students will receive a message from the Bureau des bourses et de l’aide financière (BBAF) at the right time.
Students will receive a single payment of $2,000 at the first full-time semester for which they are registered. However, the student must be registered at least part-time in each subsequent semester to be eligible for the scholarship (registration for the summer semester is not mandatory).
