Citizens of the World Scholarships – Mobility

The Citizens of the World program aims, among other things, to support Université Laval students with mobility scholarships to help them become the leaders of tomorrow.

Mobility scholarships
The Citizens of the World Mobility Scholarships, offered by Fondation Famille Choquette, are intended for Canadian citizens and permanent residents who plan to spend at least 8 months studying or conducting research outside Canada or the United States, beginning in the summer of 2026, the fall of 2026, or the winter of 2027 as part of their PhD at Université Laval.
The objective of these scholarships is to support Université Laval students by providing mobility scholarships that immerse them in different cultures and help them become leaders with an open-minded approach to global citizenship.

- Total value of $12,500
Eligibility and selection criteria

- Canadian citizens
- Permanent residents
- Graduate studies: All PhDs
Submit your application
Selection results
Selection results are usually announced in mid-April.
If your application is accepted, you will have 15 days to:
- Accept Université Laval’s offer of admission, if you have not already done so
- Pay the required deposit on your tuition fees
- Accept the scholarship offer
After this period, the scholarship offer will be automatically withdrawn.
Those on the waiting list are not eligible to receive a scholarship offer.
