About us

The Student Awards and Financial Aid Office is part of the Direction des services aux étudiants (DSE) [student services] and has existed at Université Laval for more than 50 years. During the 2017–2018 year, the Student Awards and Financial Aid Office awarded 3,442 grants totalling $22 453 819. During this same period, $80 766 140 was awarded in the form of Québec government loans and grants to 12,718 students.

Mission

Manage and promote scholarships and financial aid under its direction, provide students with professional and personalized guidance on financing their studies, and support the faculties in their provision of scholarship services to promote student enrolments and academic success.

Vision

The Student Awards and Financial Aid office (BBAF) is the benchmark in scholarships and financial aid to students, faculties, and management, offering an advisory service tailored to students’ needs, helping faculties manage their scholarships, and advising management on the development of new scholarships.
